Beeston has featured in a new short film to promote fostering. ‘Any Of Us’ was produced by Rylands-based film maker Dave Smith, along with Rich Bailey of Reel TwentyFive.

Middle Street Resource Centre was used to film some of the scenes, along with a nearby house. The film tells the story of Chloe, and how any of a number of people from different backgrounds could be her foster carer. One of the main aims of the film is to appeal to those who might not see themselves as the ‘right type’ of person to foster.

Over 80 councils, including Nottinghamshire County Council, jointly funded ‘Any Of Us’, which was launched recently. Nottinghamshire is no different to everywhere else in the country, in that they urgently need more people to come forward to look after vulnerable children and young people.

‘Any Of Us’ is the latest in a number of fostering films to be produced by Dave and Rich. Beeston has featured as a backdrop to many of them, thanks to the great variety of housing, landscapes and scenery in the area.
