Time never stands still in Beeston. Loads of exciting new things have opened or will be opening soon, blink and you’ll miss them!

Raw & More
Beeston is definitely a dog-friendly place, and it has become even more so with the opening of this new shop on the High Road near the Hop Pole. As well as raw dog food, they also offer plenty of the dried variety, and lots of accessories and toys to keep furry friends happy.

Little Foxes
A children’s play centre has opened in what used to be The Bar on the High Road. With a focus on keeping things clean and tidy, low numbers of children allowed at a time, and including a cafe, it’s bound to be a hit with kids and parents alike.

Ford & Guy
Right next door to Little Foxes is Ford & Guy, a new shop selling handmade clothing and accessories, using sustainable and ethical materials. They also host a wide range of workshops and events, from pottery, sewing and jewellery making to life drawing.

The Hideaway
The latest smart cafe in Beeston has opened under The Quadrant, which is the building behind the library next to Roundhill School, just along from The Commerical. The varied menu has loads of interesting options and already has rave reviews.

Legs still crossed
The new toilet block looks almost complete, but not quite. The plant wall is great, and it seems like just a few finishing touches are needed. This has been the case for weeks though. No-one seems to be able to remember exactly when the building work started, but we reckon it was at least three or four prime ministers ago.
